Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Key Stage One (KS1) Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in the Blyth area. 

This primary school has effective leadership where pupils enjoy coming to school to learn and their achievements are often outstanding. The school are looking for a committed Key Stage One (KS1) Teaching Assistant to work part time, across Year 1 and Year 2. Part time hours will include working varying shifts between the hours of 08:30-15:30 Monday – Friday. 

The successful Key Stage One (KS1) Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children in Key Stage One (KS1) and will be utilised across both Year 1 and Year 2. The successful Key Stage One (KS1) Teaching Assistant will be supporting in both year groups, providing small group activities, as well as whole class support. Therefore the successful candidate will ideally have experience and knowledge of the Key Stage One (KS1) curriculum. This position is expected to start in September and will be on-going. 

To be considered for the position of Key Stage One (KS1) Teaching Assistant you must:

  • Have experience supporting children in primary education within Key Stage One (KS1)
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification or above in childcare
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary School Staff
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
