Vision for Education are urgently seeking a qualified Primary Specialist Teacher to undertake a full time, long term assignment at a small, friendly primary school on the outskirts of York. 

The Role

The role is to start in January 2021 but some orientation days may be can be arranged towards the end of the Autumn Term. You will hold full class responsibility for the duration of the role, creating a safe and stimulating environment for a class of 29 pupils. You will assess, record and report pupils progress and utilise teaching assistants to ensure the curriculum is accessible for all.  

The school was graded 'Good' in 2019. Children enjoy attending school and behaviour is generally good. Staff are well supported and feel valued as part of this friendly school community. 

Requirements 

The school are looking for a talented Key Stage 1 specialist with a natural flare for teaching and getting the best out of children.  

  • UK QTS and experience of  Key Stage 1 or EYFS is essential
  • Knowledge of Read, Write, Inc Phonics scheme would be beneficial
