Job overview

Rosemary Works School is a truly unique independent school on the borders of Hackney and Islington.

Rosemary Works believes children should be inspired by their teachers and knows this comes about when teachers are happy in their roles and feel that they can explore their own interests with the children.  Due to the School's commitment to small class sizes, every staff member knows every child and at Rosemary Works this is so much more than just remembering names, this deep understanding of the children as individuals is what gives the school it's inclusive, informal, family atmosphere.

Rosemary Works teachers are free to plan the children’s learning with maximum flexibility, inventiveness and spontaneity. Everything the School does is centred around their 3 big beliefs - Innovation, Challenge and Growth and their teaching staff play a pivotal role in ensuring these beliefs are lived and breathed every single day.

So, if you are looking to work in a close-knit, friendly environment in partnership with a supportive management team, this is a fantastic opportunity to do just that whilst helping to shape the lives of the children in our school community.

This is a full time, permanent position starting January 2022. The successful candidate should be a fully qualified teacher. S/he should be a skilful and committed practitioner, able to inspire pupils, manage a busy workload, be well organised, prepared to go the extra mile and love teaching and working with inspirational children. In addition, all staff are expected to take a full part in the organisation of the school day, taking assemblies, supervising lunch and the playground etc. as required. We have small class sizes and wonderful pupils.
