St James the Great is an inclusive and thriving small school in the heart of Peckham which is rightly proud of its pupils and their supportive families.  We have a rich and varied curriculum and believe that much learning can take place out of the classroom which is why we love to go on  school trips!

St. James the Great is a Catholic School and although many of our families are from a faith background some are not. We believe in promoting a harmonious community bound in the love of Christ.

The school is situated close to Peckham Rye Station, the Overground, Thameslink and other mainline trains offer quick access across and into London. There are a multiple of bus routes outside the school and in nearby Rye lane, a popular local shopping and vibrant area to socialise in after work, with an exciting array of cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy.

The school would like to appoint a committed teacher to join our team as we help and support our pupils to fulfill their potential. Likewise the CPD on offer for colleagues from NQT to Upper Threshold practitioners is rich and varied. The Governors are looking for talented and enthusiastic teachers who have a passion for making a difference to the learning and life chances for children.
