Job overview

We are looking to recruit two Key Stage 2 class teachers on full-time, permanent contracts from September 2021.

Lyngford Park Primary School, part of the Richard Huish Trust, is a happy school with a strong moral purpose and determined work ethic.  Our school motto of ‘Inspire to Aspire’ is central to the school’s vision and we work closely with our parents and the wider community to ensure that our children aspire to be the best that they can be.

We require candidates who are kind, caring, enthusiastic and energetic. Successful candidates will be experienced class teachers who are flexible, supportive and willing to develop professionally as well as being passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential. A specialism in Science and/or English will be advantageous although not essential. You will need to be well organised, good with time pressures and committed to high standards. The willingness to learn, be creative and try new ideas as well as lead a class TA on a daily basis is vital.

The successful candidates must be competent at creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere, developing and sustaining good working relationships and working wider than our setting, with our families, the community and the Trust.

Sadly school visits are not possible under the current restrictions, however phone calls with the Head Teacher are available. For further information please contact Mrs Sarah Barrah in the school office on 01823 284912 or via our website: www.lyngfordparkprimary.co.uk

NQTs will be welcomed and are encouraged to apply.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 20th May 2021.

Lyngford Park Primary School is part of the Richard Huish Trust and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.

About Lyngford Park Primary School

Why Choose Lyngford Park Primary School?

Thank you for showing an interest in our school.  I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Lyngford Park Primary which is a thriving primary school in Taunton, the County Town of Somerset. We are a good school and on a journey to further improve.

In January 2021, we joined The Richard Huish Trust and since them we have been working collectively with our new team of 5 Primary Schools and 1 Secondary School, which are all local to us.

If you are successful in being appointed to work with us, you will be joining a highly committed set of professionals who work tirelessly to enable all our children to be the best that they can be. We make no excuses for what we can achieve.

We have a strong and highly ambitious Senior Leadership Team who are constantly driving school improvement. We meet as a team to work collaboratively as we know we all learn best when we do so actively and with others. Each team enjoys PPA time together each week and all staff are supported by their Senior Leader colleagues and strong subject leaders. We also have half-termly staff meetings, which focus on our own mental health and well-being.

We place a great emphasis on delivering a creative curriculum built around core skills and emotional well-being. We strive to achieve success for all, regardless of ability.

If you are considering joining our team, please call us and have a tour...our school must be right for you too - it is a two-way commitment, but I think you will love it!  Look forward to meeting you and maybe joining us on our exciting journey.
