British School Al Rams (BSR) 

Located in northern Ras Al Khaimah city in the Al Rams Township. BSR is a mid-sized primary school delivering an adapted UK National Curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 5 (FS1 to Year 6) and the UAE MOE subjects. BSR is accredited by the British Schools Overseas (BSO), benchmarked against leading international British schools. 

The Role

RAK Academy, Al Rams is looking for a positive, driven and inspirational Key Stage 2 Leader to join the school’s management team. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to lead a key subject across the whole school (subject will be based on area of specialism and experience). This is class based with a reduced teaching load.

Essential 

·        Hold a bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate qualification in education.     

·        Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)      

·        Have a proven record of raising attainment and improving progress.    

·        Have an excellent understanding of teaching and learning.    

·        Be proficient in the development and adaptation of curriculum in a key subject.      

·        Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice. 

Desirable

·        Ability to teach across multiple primary key stages.      

·        Ability to oversee and implement the analysis of student outcomes.   

·        Understand curriculum design and the concept of a developing an aspirational, cumulative curriculum.   

·        Take responsibility for leading the development and resourcing of the curriculum in collaboration with other Phase Leaders.
