With 450 pupils on role, including a nursery, nurture class and specialist resource base and Place 2 Be team of counsellors, Windsor Clive offers excellent quality of experiences, care and support for all its pupils and parents. It serves a large, socially and economically disadvantaged area and is strongly committed to its motto, Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day. High quality initiatives, including Place 2 Be school-based pupil and parent counselling service, recently acclaimed in the media by its Patron, the Duchess of Cambridge; Investors in Families Award and accreditation by Middlesex University’s FAST programme (Families and Schools Together). The school is known for its very welcoming ethos whilst parents are well supported the dedicated Parent Engagement Officer. The school is part of the Alliance of 10 schools for the Region for Closing the Deprivation Gap which recognises excellence in this area lead particularly well at Key Stage 2.

We are looking to appoint an experienced teacher in Upper Key Stage 2. He/she will need to be an excellent practitioner keen to embrace opportunities for his/her professional development whilst undertaking the year’s contract. The school fully supports school to school improvement which includes co-coaching within and across schools in the region.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an excellent practitioner with experience of teaching in the relevant age range
  • have an understanding of the needs of a communities first area and a strong commitment to social inclusion
  • have a positive attitude to innovation and change for both pupils and staff
  • show potential for strong subject or aspect leadership and management skills
  • have excellent interpersonal skills.

This is a full time teaching role commencing in September, extending until the end of the Summer Term, 2018. There is potential for a permanent contract. A secondment would be considered; candidates would need to provide confirmation of permission from their governing body on interview. If you have a minimum of 3-4 years’ teaching experience in upper Key Stage 2, we would welcome your application.
