About the role: Molehill Primary Academy have an opportunity for a successful and passionate teacher who thrives on working as part of a cohesive team to join us from January 2020.  Our appointed candidate’s main focus will be to maintain our strong practice in Key Stage 2. Working for Molehill Primary Academy:  Our academy is a happy, caring and secure community which offers a stimulating learning environment. By developing potential and self-esteem we help everyone to become a unique, responsible, considerate and successful individual.

Our academy caters for boys and girls from the age of 4-11 years. It is well equipped, having its own library, dining hall, assembly hall, sports field and nature reserve.  At Molehill, we aim to give every child the very best start possible to their education through vibrant and engaging teaching, enabling the children to become active learners and by using an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum.

Throughout the school, we want our children to enjoy a wide range of experiences which bring the curriculum to life and make learning fun. All staff work hard to ensure the best possible quality of education for the children in every year group.  It stands in beautiful grounds that we have developed specially to aid curriculum studies.  There are approximately 281 pupils on roll, some of whom are hearing impaired children who may start the academy at the age of two and a half years. 

Working with Leigh Academies Trust:  As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

The Academy was opened in 1954 to serve the southern part of the Shepway Estate and the roads leading to it. It caters for boys and girls from the age of four to eleven years. It is well equipped, having its own library, dining hall, assembly hall, sports field and nature reserve.

There are approximately 281 children on roll, of which, 13 are designated places for hearing impaired children who may start the academy at the age of two and a half years.
