Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 2 in a primary school in the Newcastle area. This position is set to begin at the beginning of November 2021 up until December, with the view to extend for the rest of the academic year. The candidate must be available to work full time hours, Monday- Friday, 08:30-15:30. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning. 

The role

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting learning across Key Stage 2. Furthermore, they must be able to confidently aid pupils learning through in class support, as well as smaller intervention and 1:1 work at times for children working below the expected level. Although not essential, the school would benefit from a teaching assistant who has experience of supporting pupils with SATS preparation and reading comprehension.

Requirements

To be considered for the Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Have had experience of supporting pupils across Key Stage 2.

• Hold a minimum of Level 3 Qualification in Teaching and Learning. 

• Have an excellent work ethic and positive attitude towards teaching and learning.

• Have excellent communication skills. 

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team to support pupils learning and development.
