Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent Level 2 and/or Nursery/Primary Education experience are also welcomed to apply.  

Oct 2021 – July 2021 potential to be extended due to funding. 

I am looking for a Teaching Assistant who is capable of building and fostering relationships with our most vulnerable children.

Do you have  knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and possess the skills to work in Year 6 with a young gild who requires mostly academic support. Due to the nature of this role, it will be part time position 9am until 12:30 pm in the Bury Area. 

This particular role is located in a school in the Prestwich Area, the start date will commence in October, this position has the potential to be made long term for the right candidate.  

Main purpose of the role 

• To work in Year 3 - 6 under the direction of the class teacher. 

• Capable of building good relationships with pupils and staff.  

• Have excellent communication skill and  

• Support both children’s academic and holistic development (e.g. physical, emotional, social, communication and intellectual development needs)

• Support children’s behaviour with positive interactions, ability to engage into lessons. 

• Support Core and Foundation subjects in preparation for SATS and ultimately High School. 

• Create a stimulating environment where children feel engaged and want to participate in their learning

• Provide a safe environment where children have the confidence to learn effectively. 

• To implement policies and procedures as directed by the school

Requirements

To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or recent Primary experience 
  • Professional attitude 
  • Have experience in Primary Education with children upto Key Stage 2 
  • 1-1 experience desirable but not essential
  • Be able to adapt to different routines daily
  • Have experience of supporting English and Maths
  • Engage, 
  • Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 12:30 Mon-Fri
