37 hours per week, term time only

Salary range: S15-S17 (Actual salary £24,886 - £25,713)

We are seeking to appoint an alternative pathway room lead to support some of our most challenging and vulnerable students in Key Stage 3. You will provide personalised learning support (including individual and small group intervention) for students who are finding it difficult to access the curriculum as well as providing consistency in pastoral care.

The successful candidates will:

  • Have qualifications to at least A level standard with GCSE in both English and maths
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a good team player
  • Be able to form a constructive rapport with students to enable them to engage successfully with learning
  • Possibly have experience of working with students with who display challenging behaviour and need support with their social and emotional wellbeing.

Macmillan Academy is an academy based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. 

The school was founded in 1989 as the Macmillan City Technology College, one of the first of 15 City Technology Colleges established in England.  The school converted to academy status in 2006. and is now part of Endeavour Academies Trust.

We are a 11-18 Academy & 6th form college, and offer a huge range of courses and opportunities to our students and staff.
