Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented teacher to join our English team.  You will have a passion for learning and teaching English together with the skills to inspire students and staff. The Key Stage 3 English Co-ordinator will be responsible for leading and developing Key Stage 3 English and support the Learning Co-ordinator in leading the English area.

Oasis Academy Hadley is an inclusive all-through, 2 to 18 academy that is committed to giving children the best possible education. High-performing and continuously improving, we have moved into a new building and have state-of-the-art facilities. 

Our students enjoy English. All students take GCSE English and English Literature. The English department is proud of its examination results with a Progress 8 result of + 0.23 for English . A small number of students, who have recently come to UK, take the iGCSE English as an Additional Language. A level English Literature is a popular choice with our sixth formers and results are good. Students currently follow the Edexcel specification at both levels.

The Academy’s students make good progress exceeding or equaling national averages at all Key Stages. Over 90% of our students have progressed to university including Russell Group universities following a wide range of courses. Outside the classroom a wide range of extra-curricular activities provide enrichment opportunities for our students. The work of the Academy is supported by the Oasis Hub Hadley which provides integrated, high quality services that benefit students and their families.
