Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator, Science

KEY STAGE 4 CO-ORDINATOR, SCIENCE 

Main Scale Pay Range/Upper Pay Scale plus TLR 2B - £4,440

Required for January 2019, a dynamic, well-qualified and committed Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator of Science to assist in leading and developing our curriculum at Key Stage 4.   An early start in September 2018 would be considered.

The Bromfords School and Sixth Form College is a school where students achieve well and are part of a strong, caring community. Our school’s ambition was recognised by Ofsted in May 2016 when it was stated that, “School leaders are ambitious.  They want the school to become outstanding and they are doing the right things to achieve this.” 

In 2017 56% of students achieved 5+A*-C GCSEs, including English and Mathematics, and progress in both English and Mathematics was above the national average.

The successful candidate will join a supportive Science team and continue the excellent work already underway. The Science Department currently consists of ten full time teachers and four subject specific technicians, who are clearly focused on raising standards of teaching to “outstanding” and ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. Our A2 results for 2017 were Physics 100% A* - E, 30% A* – B, Chemistry 100% A* - E, 47% A* - B, Biology 93% A* - E, 40% A* - B and our GCSE results were Physics 97% A* - C, Chemistry 97% and Biology 90%. Core Science and Additional Science achieved 50% and 35% A* - C pass rate respectively.
