Oaklands School requires from January 2017 a dynamic and experienced professional to be Key Stage 4 Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the school and to join a strong and progressive extended leadership team in this vibrant and happy school. We are seeking an outstanding teacher and leader, who has the drive, vision and ambition to help lead the school to even greater success. You will already be a successful and experienced middle leader with a proven track record of excellence in your current role. You will be passionate about education and committed to securing excellent outcomes for children of all abilities. As a highly dedicated and innovative professional, you will join a dynamic team of teaching and associate staff, all determined to ensure that the school maintains its reputation for excellence.

The Key Stage 4 Leader will focus on achieving excellent standards of achievement and progress for students at Key Stage 4. In addition the successful candidate will form a key part of the school’s Key Stage 4 team which is committed to implementing an ambitious vision for rich curricular and extra-curricular provision and high-quality Pastoral Care. Oaklands is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in East London. It is a community state school as well as a NSS (National Support School] that provides support to other schools. A smaller than average secondary school, it will provide 850 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18, when fully subscribed.

With over 20 years’ worth of educational success, Oaklands has been a specialist school for science since 2003 and became a specialist modern foreign language school in 2008.
