Key Stage 5 Mentor & Work Placement Co-ordinator

About the role:  We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate who is looking to gain experience and develop a range of essential skills in a school environment. The role will be working specifically in the Sixth Form with individual students and small groups of students to enhance their learning and pastoral experience. One to two days a week will be devoted to supporting the Health and Social Care department in administering the work placement programme for our KS5 learners.

The successful candidate will have an understanding and empathy with 16-19 year olds. Experience with this age group in any context will be an advantage. You will work closely with the Head of Sixth form and the Sixth Form team together with individual subject teachers so an ability to work as a team member is essential.

What are we looking for in you?  It is preferable for applicants will have previous experience of working with young people but not essential. You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy and have a Degree. You will be committed to personal learning and development, and have a sincere commitment to sharing our long-term aims and drive for continuous improvement.
