Key Stage Co-Ordinator Mathematics

St Mary’s is one of the two Diocesan high schools for students of all abilities that serves families on the Wirral. In November 2016 St Mary’s joined the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust which includes the other Wirral Diocesan Catholic High School, St John Plessington which has consistently been judged to be Outstanding in OFSTED inspections. It is an exciting time for our College. The opportunity for the two schools to work collaboratively to share best practice is already bearing fruit; with significant improvements in maths results in both 2017 and 2018 with externally moderated data telling us this rapid improvement will continue this year.

As you would expect our mathematics department is well resourced with a suite of classrooms and class sizes that reflect our determination to ensure our students realise their potential. Mathematics is a popular choice at A Level. Developing outstanding pedagogy and practice in our maths team is essential. We are looking to recruit a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Maths who will join a supportive team focused on improving standards through engaging students in their learning.   You will have the skills, experience  and expertise to  play a key role in the leadership and management of the department.
