Pay & Conditions:             Actual starting salary: £17857.00 per annum (on a range to £20108.00 per annum)    (Annual full-time equivalent salary would be £20880.00 to £23512.00 per annum)

Term time (38 weeks) plus 2 days

Hours: Hours 37.5 hours per week: 8.00 to 4.00; 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid, to be taken outside of the student lunch break)

There may be times when you might need to stay on outside of your hours if you are dealing with an urgent safeguarding matter 

We are looking for staff who have the appropriate personal characteristics, experience, knowledge and skills relating to the pastoral welfare of students at Trevelyan Middle School.  Experience of working in a school environment is desirable. The position would suit someone who has the ability to work well under pressure whilst prioritising and working productively can work as part of a team as well as independently. The successful candidate will also:

• Carry out administrative duties that support the work of the SLT Pastoral leads, including maintaining records and communicating with staff, students’ families and outside agencies, as appropriate

• Work effectively to ensure high levels of pastoral care

• Maintain accurate manual and electronic records relating to students

• Liaise with students, parents, colleagues and other professionals in relation to any student matters

• Provide support for pupils in lessons as required

The most recent OFSTED inspection (2019) graded the school as ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ behaviour & attitudes and personal development.

About Trevelyan Middle School

Trevelyan Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school in Berkshire serving students from the age of 9-13. The middle school is situated in Windsor and has approximately 433 students on record.

Trevelyan Middle School opened in 1930, formerly known as New Windsor Council School. The secondary school converted to academy status in 2016.
