This is a superb opportunity to join the support staff of this vibrant and successful Academy Trust.   We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and versatile person for the following role:   

KEY STAGE LEARNING MENTOR x 2 

Grade 6, Actual Salary £16,795 - £18,984 per annum 

37 hours per week, Mon-Fri (term time only)   

The de Ferrers Academy has gained a reputation for high levels of academic achievement, demonstrated by another extremely successful year for our students at GCSE and A-level.  We have a positive ethos and excellent staff/student relationships, together with a commitment to the personal and professional development of our staff.    In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in Learning technologies and ICT.   The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads for all Key Stage 4 and 5 students.     

We are looking to appoint two Key Stage Learning Mentors to work under guidance, to provide support in addressing the needs of students. In particular to help overcome barriers to learning and developing their potential both inside and outside the classroom.  The successful applicant will also be responsible for contributing to developing Inclusion approaches in the Academy. This post is full time, term time only.  All prospective candidates are very welcome to visit the Academy, to tour and meet with members of the faculty, and meet with our students.  We are situated on the rural outskirts of Burton upon Trent, within easy access of Birmingham, Nottingham and Derby.  As the academy of choice for our local area, you will feel part of a supported community and, most importantly, a warm and friendly environment in which to educate our young people.  We offer an employee reward package which includes car leasing discounts and our own independent travel consultant.
