We are a friendly, supportive and successful school in a small semi-rural village. The school is well-respected by the village community and our classes are consistently oversubscribed. We have high expectations of behaviour and pupils' attitude to their learning is excellent. "The atmosphere around the school is highly positive, whether in lessons, moving around the corridors, in assembly or in the playground." Ofsted 2012. Shenley is a very well-resourced school. All classes are linked to our network with filtered internet access and all have either IWB or Clever Touch screens.

In addition we have a considerable number of laptop computers, iPads and iPods which use the latest wireless technology to link to the network. These provide an excellent portable resource. We have dedicated teaching spaces for music and cookery as well as beautiful grounds that provide a pond, weather station, wildlife trial, orchard, allotments, bug hotel, and Wildwood Den for outdoor learning opportunities. Children in KS2 learn Spanish as their modern foreign language, receive Emperi-box for their science learning and have specialist music teachers.

We are proud of the many achievements of Shenley School; the quality of teaching, the provision for the personal and social development of the children, the strong sense of community and above all, the academic, sporting and artistic success our children enjoy. Parents, carers and governors are actively involved in the life of the school and contribute much time and energy to help us enhance the environment; providing additional resources and quality learning experiences for the children.

Take pride in your learning and your learning will take pride in you
