The children, staff and Governors of Hunslet Carr Primary are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join the leadership team and contribute to the further success of our school.

As we look to restructure our leadership team, our new Assistant Headteachers, working within KS1 and KS2, will join a school with an established culture of high expectations which places the social and academic development of each child at its heart. Ofsted judged us to be ‘Good’ in 2012 and we have continued to develop so that we are firmly on the road to becoming an outstanding school. While you will join a school with undoubted strengths, the challenge ahead will be to maintain and continue this progress.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an outstanding and inspirational teacher who teaches creatively, has High Expectations and a commitment to ensure all pupils achieve to their full potential
  • is a Caring leader who has exceptional leadership and decision making skills and is able to lead on whole school development priorities
  • has a commitment to giving children the best start in life and developing Positive Attitudes
  • has excellent communication and interpersonal skills that support teachers through coaching and mentoring to be Successful practitioners.
