
KS1 Teacher (initially teaching Year 2)

Old Vicarage School is a highly successful and thriving independent prep school for girls between the ages of 3 and 11 years. We are looking to appoint an inspiring, creative, and well qualified KS1 teacher who will initially teach Year 2 pupils. This is a full time and permanent role from September 2023, subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and right to work in the UK.
You would teach English to both Year 2 classes, with your partner teacher covering Maths, and share the other subjects in your year as well as having class teacher responsibility for your own form. Applicants will be expected to have strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence, a sense of fun and the imagination and desire to use technology to enhance the learning experience for all pupils.
Candidates should have at least two years’ KS1 teaching experience, QTS and be supportive and sympathetic to the ethos of teaching in an independent school.
The salary will be based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and ability to contribute to the life of the school.
