KS2 Class Teacher.

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive primary Academy, based in North Kensington, London. The school is looking to add a KS2 Class Teacher to its progressive and supportive primary team ideally starting in January 2022.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of primary education to one of the school's classes. You will support the Head of Primary to enhance provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Project work will include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. You’ll also lead by example, supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability and you’ll enjoy that great feeling when your learners achieve grades beyond their dreams.

"This primary school provides places to around 300 pupils aged 3-11, the school first opened in 2013 and is expected to expand to accommodate close to 500 children in the near future. The school is proud of its diversity, with pupils from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. 

They provide staff with the tools and support to instil a strong learning culture in their classrooms. From weekly coaching sessions with the senior leadership team to co-planning with colleagues, teachers are supported and encouraged to take risks and try new techniques to instil a lifelong love of learning in every child. Teachers also have twice as many training days as standard and the chance to work with and learn from peers and leaders from across the network. There is also a salary at 2.5% higher than the main scale, access to health packages, discounts at major retailers, travel loans and other benefits, through their rewards scheme."

• On-going CPD with programmes of study such as NPQML and MA in Educational Leadership

• Progression support throughout the school and wider group

• Support package for NQT’s/EQT’s including CPD and NQT mentorship;

• The chance to take on further responsibility such as TLR or Leadership roles in the future.

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A relevant Education Degree or a related subject

• Experience in delivering primary education, successfully engaging learners to progress

• A love and passion for education.
