Due to the continued success at Ormiston NEW Academy and a much improved student in-take the academy is in a position to add to the family of staff.

The Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds and as of September 2018 will have 850 students on roll. This is an ideal and exciting opportunity for an outstanding and inspirational individual who has the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work with the existing team with a view to continuing to build on the progress already made. You will have the opportunity to contribute to an exciting curriculum, which will help motivate our students to achieve beyond their potential. We are looking for a passionate primary school teacher to thrive in our supportive environment. The role would be ideal for an experienced teacher or an outstanding NQT with a passion for supporting and nurturing students who are significantly below age related expectation to make rapid progress through a variety of different interventions that can be applied in a secondary setting. The successful candidate would predominately teach our Year 7 and Year 8 Nurture Groups (maximum 15 students) teaching of Maths, English and Humanities at Primary level. The successful candidate would work with students with a variety of special educational needs.
You will work within a well-resourced, supportive SEN department. We also work collaboratively with other Ormiston Academies, both locally and nationally. This ensures we are at the leading edge of the latest developments in the subject, able to deliver the highest quality professional development and provide progression opportunities within the Trust. The Academy also works closely with PiXL, with our staff leading national strategies and influencing practice elsewhere.
