Based in Fulham, Kensington Prep seeks a passionate Maths Teacher to lead on the teaching of Mathematics to our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. This is a unique opportunity to further and develop your teaching career, playing a leading position in one of the UK’s most successful prep schools.
As our next Maths teacher, you will be a passionate individual, strongly motivated to make yourself an active part of our thriving community. With excellent subject knowledge, you will lead on the delivery of KS2 Mathematics, where a more specialist approach to teaching is taught.
At Kensington Prep we aim to develop young mathematicians. As well as gaining fluency with methods, rules and facts, girls learn to develop their sense of numbers and space, to acquire a deep understanding of concepts and to think flexibly to solve mathematical problems. Our girls gain places and scholarships at highly academic schools, therefore experience of preparing students for 11 + examinations is equally important.
We are justifiably proud of our reputation and are pleased to have been recognised by a range of high-profile awards. Our girls (aged 4-11) achieve outstanding academic results. The school recently received the highest possible inspection grade - ‘exceptional’ and our facilities are superb and cutting-edge. We also offer a warm, nurturing atmosphere, combining traditional values with forward-thinking. With the recent completion of new ground-breaking facilities, it is a particularly exciting time to join the school.
Staff are inspired and supported in a highly professional environment led by a friendly leadership team. We are the highest rated GDST school in a recent Best Companies employee survey and the GDST is in the top 100 best not-for-profit companies to work for. We offer competitive salary scales, excellent conditions of service and career development opportunities.
If you share our commitment to developing and encouraging independence, individuality, resilience and thinking for all pupils we would like to hear from you.
