About Ash Grange Preschool, Nursery & School

Ash Grange is a one form entry primary school taking children from 2 years old to 11 years old. It serves an extended village on the Surrey/Hampshire border. The children come from a range of backgrounds.  At present there are 214 full time pupils (with one bulge class in KS2) and 38 children in the Nursery and 32 in the Preschool.

Under the strong leadership of Mrs Curtis (since 2011), teaching has improved to be consistently good and standards risen.  At the 2016 Ofsted report, pupils' achievement was in line with national expectations at the end of Year 6 and slightly above at the end of Year 2.

Pupils are extremely proud of the school that has extensive buildings - colourfully decorated - and attractive grounds. Facilities include a large hall, 30 station ICT suite and a room for parents and community use. Lunches are cooked on site. Each classroom has an interactive board linked to the school ICT network. The Foundation Stage children have secure outside areas for learning. There are a number of playgrounds to cater for a range of activities, a large field and a covered heated swimming pool.
