We are looking for a hard working, ambitious and dynamic subject leader of Art and Design to teach at this thriving and forward-looking School. This position offers the chance to specialise primarily in KS2 Art and Design Technology to children in Years 3-6.

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire and challenge our pupils with a proven track record of success in raising standards and in innovative teaching. Experience being a form tutor would also be an advantage as would willingness to offer another subject.

History

Founded in 1918, Salcombe is a co-educational preparatory day school for children aged between 3 and 11. The school is situated on two neighbouring sites in Southgate, North London, and is served by excellent road and rail links.

Salcombe has a long tradition of success in preparing children for selective maintained and independent schools at 11+, as well as offering considerable opportunities for social, cultural and sporting activities.

Management

Salcombe Preparatory School is run by its Headteacher and her team of senior staff, who retain the school’s unique atmosphere. The Headteacher is a member of the National Association of Head Teachers and the Independent Schools Association.
