Polebrook Primary School is a small rural primary school situated 4 miles outside Oundle. We are passionate about our children and work hard to ensure they receive the best quality learning experience. We uphold strong values of love and respect and have a very warm and positive ethos experienced by all members of our community. We embrace creative learning and have particular strengths in music and the arts. We are also a Forest School and we are committed to outdoor learning. Standards across school are very high.

We are keen to appoint a new member to our team to teach in KS2. Polebrook School is passionate about creative arts and in particular music and the performing arts. We seek to appoint a primary teacher for a mixed age class of Years 3 and 4 and would particularly welcome a post holder with a sound musical knowledge and passion for teaching music. The post will be particularly attractive to a recently qualified teacher or NQT with high aspirations, drive, ambition and a passion for music education.

We are seeking applicants who:

have high expectations of all pupils 

  • are committed teachers interested in developing a creative curriculum
  • value an inspirational learning environment 
  • are collaborative team players able to apply flexible learning styles and approaches to achieve outstanding outcomes for all. 
  • are interested in leading music across the school now or in the future
  • embrace assessment for learning strategies and use them effectively to raise outcomes for all
  • promote inclusion, well-being and safeguarding in their classroom
