KS2 Prep School Teacher Advert

Finborough School is a thriving, ambitious independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2-18 years that was awarded Excellent in all areas by ISI (November 2016). The school is set in 40 acres on the outskirts of Stowmarket in Suffolk.

We take pride in being a successful business that has grown pupil numbers whilst still being selective. Finborough has recently opened a multi million pound sports building, new Science and Art Building and a state of the art Pre Prep Building. We are fortunate to have a highly committed and loyal team of staff who work with our wonderful children and young adults. Everything we do at Finborough is to enrich the lives of our pupils and to continue to provide the best preparation for life. We have an unrelenting drive for continued improvement.

Due to unprecedented growth of the school we are looking to recruit 3 Prep School (KS2) teachers able to work with children across the 7 - 11 years age range.

One of these appointments will ideally be for an April 2023 start with the further two to commence in September 2023.

The assigned class for this post will be KS2 depending on the successful applicants experience and teaching strength. In our prep school teachers take one of two or three classes from each year group for most of their subjects with some specialist teaching enjoyed by the students from colleagues across the school.

The successful candidate will have a ‘growth mindset’ and a commitment to sustaining the highest possible standards coupled with being an inspirational teacher.

A generous salary and benefit package is available.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 1st December 2022 with interviews taking place on Tuesday 6th December 2022.

Finborough School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the position, including checks with past employers, the Department for Education and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). A copy of our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and our Safer Recruitment Policy are available on our website.
