Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic KS2 teacher who is able to inspire pupils of all abilities. You would become part of a small, friendly and dedicated team, in a nurturing and happy school. Our ideal applicant will have boundless enthusiasm and be prepared to play a full part in our school day, including sport, enrichment and co-curricular activities. The successful candidate will be required to teach general subjects but there would be an opportunity to take on a responsibility e.g. English, Art or Computing. Applications from NQTs and experienced teachers are welcomed.

Herries Preparatory School is an independent mixed day school for students aged 2 -11. The school is located in Berkshire, in the village of Cookham Dean near Maidenhead. Around 100 pupils currently attend Herries School. Our classes are small, allowing teachers to offer each child a high level of individual attention. The pastoral care is often praised – pupils feel safe within the school environment.
Founded in 1937, Herries Preparatory School is based within an Edwardian house, which once belonged to the "Wind in the Willows" author Kenneth Grahame.

Values and vision
The broad curriculum allows children to develop as individuals, helping them to identify their strengths and achieve high standards both academically and in extra-curricular activities. The teaching team support children to develop confidence and self-esteem.
Sporting activities are an important addition to the curriculum, with international-standard facilities on the school's doorstep. Herries Preparatory School also has a thriving drama and music department.
