Job overview

Part-time (0.4 or 0.5), fixed term contract, initially for 2018/19 academic year

We are looking for an ambitious, hardworking teacher who wants to make a real difference to children’s lives, to join our team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our well-established and supportive Key Stage 2 Team, working alongside other class teachers and our team of skilled teaching assistants.

This post could suit a newly or recently qualified teacher, or someone with more experience - what matters is that you are an enthusiastic and talented teacher, with high expectations for all children, and a strong commitment to your own continuing professional development. The 0.4/0.5 role will be to teach in this phase for 4 or 5 mornings a week.

Woodstock CE Primary School is a very successful school in the heart of West Oxfordshire, serving a growing community. The school is positioned within beautiful grounds and has modern buildings, which are extremely well-resourced. We can offer an excellent working environment, with happy and hard-working children, and a supportive and welcoming staff team. As a teacher at Woodstock CE Primary School you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the children you teach, and you will have our support and encouragement to continue, within our National Teaching and Support School, to grow and develop your career. Our Christian distinctiveness is important to us and we value our strong links with the church and the wider school community.

If you think you could be the right person for our school then we would love to meet you - visits to the school are strongly recommended. Please contact the School directly to make an appointment to see us in action and meet the staff and children.

Help may be available to support the right candidate in securing teaching housing within Oxfordshire.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
