The Role:

You will be responsible for high-quality teaching, you will ensure the effective delivery of the school curriculum.

Smaller class sizes provide focus on building a purposeful learning environment that promote learning and raise levels of attainment whilst meeting the individual educational needs of all.

Keen to develop creative learning opportunities for learners who may have previously found it difficult engaging with school and/or their learning - ours can be a challenging environment and therefore, determination and resilience are key characteristics for the post.

An understanding of APD, SEMH and ASD is preferred however we will consider someone who is willing to extend their knowledge in order to work with young people with these needs.

You should be able to work at pace and turn “can’t do” into “want to” and who is motivated by working with children with complex needs. You will share our belief that every child can achieve and reach their potential.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and a high level of resilience are just as important.

You will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on positive outcomes for the children and young people in our care.

Further information regarding these posts is attached, however, if you wish to discuss the role in more detail, please call 0116 286 7711 and speak to Jaime Rayman.

We ask that you can demonstrate the values needed for a role, transferable skills and life experience and in return we will give you all the training and support you need to progress.

We strongly believe in developing our own talent and growing our teachers into successful middle and senior leaders.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN, along with the following characteristics:

Resilience – We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
