We are looking to appoint a committed professional to the role of KS3 Science Coordinator at Ealing Fields High School. The new post-holder will be a strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to achieving the highest standards both academically and in terms of the learning habits and personal dispositions of our students.  

This is an exciting role for an innovative teacher who is ready to take on post-holder responsibilities. As the KS3 Science Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding examination outcomes at KS3, and you will also work closely with our established and experienced science team to ensure that comprehensive wider learning offer is in place for KS3 students. The post-holder will be joining an innovative, ambitious, and energetic staff group that seeks to deliver an outstanding curriculum and will be well supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to teach Science to at least KS4 
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum
  • An understanding of recent curriculum / learning developments
  • An understanding of the strategies required to motivate and enthuse all students across the ability range as part of a whole school approach to raising achievement
  • An understanding of the processes and techniques required to assess, record and report students’ learning effectively
  • Ability to be reflective and driven towards self-improvement
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • A commitment to the ethos of the school

The Twyford Trust

The Twyford Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools. The Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing – Twyford CE High School (Acton), William Perkin CE High School (Greenford), Ada Lovelace CE High School (Greenford) and Ealing Fields High School (South Ealing).

Ealing Fields High School was opened as a Free School in 2016, and became part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust on 1st September 2017. Ealing Fields is the smallest of the Trust schools, with only 150 in each Year Group and therefore has a very compact community identity. The staff community is very positive, highly motivated and fully engaged in professional development. The school moved to its brand-new permanent site in Northfields in September 2020 and achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.34 with its first set of public examinations in 2022 which reflects our relentless commitment to providing the best possible education for all students.

About Ealing Fields High School

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact CoE MAT which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. Over a 10 year period it launched three new schools Ealing Fields, William Perkin and Ada Lovelace all of which have achieved progress outcomes ranking them in the top 1% of schools nationally, making TCEAT the highest attaining Trust in the UK. TCEAT aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well.
