About the role:

You will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support, and assessment in GCSE Citizenship and Functional Skills ICT (Entry and Level 1) across the Key Stage 4 faculty. Key Stage 4 is an alternative education programme aimed at 14–16-year-olds starting a new pathway within a FE mainstream setting.

About you:

An exciting opportunity has become available working as part of the KS4 Faculty. You will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support and assessment to a range of learners aged 14-16 on a range of courses. The primary focus will be on delivering a GCSE Citizenship qualification as well Functional Skills ICT to all 4 groups across the week.

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification, and a recognised teaching qualification (or working towards it). Successful candidates will have experience of teaching students aged 14-16. In addition, you will be able to employ a range of teaching strategies and prepare students for formal assessments and exams. Good knowledge of GCSE Citizenship and Functional Skills ICT is essential. Newly Qualified Teachers will be considered for this post.

The successful candidate will also be able to:

  • Design, develop and deliver high quality teaching materials.
  • Effectively plan and develop differentiation within lessons.
  • Plan and monitor one’s own workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
