Job overview

Required for September 2017 a qualified teacher to deliver GCSE qualifications to KS4 SEMH students in an alternative setting. A commitment to working with students who present with severely challenging social, emotional and behavioural issues is essential as is a flexible approach to curriculum delivery. You will need to be experienced in delivering GCSE Maths but also have the flexibility to be able to provide cover through the school in differing age groups and subjects.  

At KS4 the unit predominantly works as an Educated Other Than At School, offering provision in line with the 14 – 19 white paper.

The ideal candidate should:  

*Have experience working in SEMH.  

*Have a proven track record of consistently adding value to their students in all the schools they have taught. 

*Possess a recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).  

*Be passionate about education with excellent curriculum knowledge, able to motivate and inspire your pupils.
