De Aston is a forward thinking, successful and vibrant 11-18 school, with excellent facilities and a genuinely comprehensive intake. We are a rural school but take from a large catchment area. We are big enough to matter but small enough to care personally for every one of our community.

De Aston is a school with a total commitment to comprehensive education and has an outstanding academic and pastoral record. There is also a well-regarded Special Needs Department that has a genuine care for individual needs. We pride ourselves on the range of extra-curricular activities we offer in sports, the arts, sciences, debating, computing and beyond.  We regularly compete in national competitions and both our staff and students have been winners of many local awards and also shortlisted into the finals for some of the most prestigious national awards.

We are proud of our success at receiving Artsmark Gold and Career Mark Gold. This reflects the ‘gold standard’ we aspire to in all our endeavours but also reflects the incredible work of the staff and the talents and commitment of our learners.

De Aston is also a school with an excellent programme of professional support and career development opportunities. Our INSET is organised and delivered by locally and nationally recognised professionals.

We are one of the most successful comprehensive schools in Lincolnshire with a proud history going back over 150 years. We have tradition but we also have a drive to embrace evidence-informed research to improve even further. We are a growth mindset school and believe that our motto ‘Believe. Strive. Achieve.’ captures our philosophy and energy as we prepare young people to take the place in the world.
