Smart Teachers Australia is recruiting for a Latin teacher for a top-standing private school located in Brisbane.  The role commences in January 2017 and is full-time with the opportunity of becoming permanent for the right candidate. A recognised leader in pedagogy and curriculum design, the school has state of the art facilities, excellent resources and some of the best technology on offer in education.

Skills:

• Proven skills in designing, implementing and evaluating differentiated learning experiences for students
• Proven skills in using ICT to improve student engagement and learning
• Experience teaching Latin in an Australian or overseas school is preferred
• This opportunity is open to overseas-trained teachers

Qualification Requirements:

• Possess the minimum relevant tertiary qualifications– Bachelor of Education/ PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
• Possess a qualification specialised in History and Geography
• Be able to provide a minimum of three professional references
• Be eligible to work in Australia- must have a valid visa
• Be registered or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Be well suited to Christian ethos
• Be familiar with the Australian National Curriculum and QCAA
• Be capable of teaching to contemporary pedagogical frameworks
