Latin Teacher (Part-Time) 0.4 – Start: September 2022 

We are seeking an inspiring and creative teacher of Latin to teach across all ability levels at Key Stages 4 - (Eduqas GCSE).

This is a part time role which would suit an established Latin and Roman Civilisation teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to participate an active role in in the wider school community.

The successful candidate will ensure that high-quality classroom teaching and learning remain at the heart of all practice. Be able to take an active role in Latin planning of creative, relevant and challenging schemes of work. Participate in a full range of departmental activities including regular moderation of pupil work, monitoring and intervention. 

Ditcham Park School is a unique, successful and thriving school situated on 16 acres in the beautiful South Downs National Park. The 400 pupils aged 2 ½ -16 benefit from a caring and supportive ethos and small classes. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Ditcham Park School is a co-educational, independent school for children aged  2 ½ -16, located in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire. The pupil roll is around 350.    

The main part of the school is a Victorian manor house which, in 1940, was requisitioned by the Royal Navy  and used as a convalescent home for sailors. After the war, it became a boys preparatory school run by Douai School Monks. In 1976 Ditcham Park School was founded. The following 40 years saw significant extensions to the school  being made, including a technology and arts building, sports hall and new classrooms.
