Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is seeking 2 lay Chaplains from 30 August 2019.  We are happy to accept applications from those wishing to work on a full-time or a part-time basis.  Please make your working preference clear in your application.  The posts are available as follows:

Post 1: to work at academies within our De La Salle hub - All Saints Catholic Voluntary Academy, Mansfield and its feeder primaries (Holy Trinity, St Patrick’s Mansfield, St Philip Neri, St Joseph’s Shirebrook, St Joseph’s New Ollerton).

Post 2: to work across other schools in the Trust within the city of Nottingham

Candidates are asked to indicate the posts for which they wish to be considered and may express a preference for more than one post.

Where relevant, appointees, who wish to do so, may, subject to confirmation, have the opportunity to study for a Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification over 2 years with the possibility of extending to a degree in youth working over a further 2 years of study.

The roles will involve: organising opportunities to regularly celebrate the Sacraments of the Church; working with pupils, young people and staff to nurture spirituality and respond to cares and concerns; and to encourage a common purpose between home, school and parish.

Applicants must be faithful and practising Catholics (a supportive reference will be required from the Parish Priest where you worship) ideally with previous experience of working with young people and of preparing and leading Collective Worship.  A full and valid UK driving licence with access to own transport for business use is also essential as the post will involve travel between schools within your hub.

Please note CVs will only be accepted when accompanied by a fully completed application form.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is one of three Trusts created across the Diocese of Nottingham as part of a visionary approach to Catholic education across the Diocese.

We bring together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

We are, first and foremost, a Catholic Multi-Academy Trust and aim to provide an outstanding faith based education; we place the life, teachings and person of Jesus Christ at the centre of everything we do.

Our priority is to ensure the very best Catholic education for all young people in our community, whatever their circumstances. We will achieve this together, through a strategic approach to sharing best practice, effective challenge and support from a central standards and performance team and opportunities for high quality Initial Teacher Training and Continuing Professional Development offered by the CMAT’s Training Hub.

This is a really exciting time in education across our Diocese and it is a great privilege for us to be able to play a central role in shaping the all round education of the young people in the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. I really hope you will join us on the journey!
