Hayesfield Girls’ School is seeking to appoint a Lead Chef to lead in the preparation, production and finishing of a wide variety of food dishes according to the menu. This will include dish and utensil washing, general cleaning and other tasks associated with catering. 

The successful candidate must be able to deputise in the absence of the Catering Manager and supervise the preparation of the cooking and serving of food at either the Brougham Hayes or Upper Oldfield Park kitchens. An ability to cook and experience in a catering environment is essential, along with an understanding of Food Hygiene requirements and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Experience of working in a school environment and a Level 2 Food Hygiene for Catering Certificate is desirable.

The Position is 32.5 hours a week, term time only plus 5 INSET days.
