Job overview

 We are seeking a committed and qualified teacher of Leadership and Management to drive forward our portfolio of Leadership and Management qualifications, including higher and degree apprenticeships in order to meet the needs of employers in our region.  Initially you will be developing the apprenticeship provision and will then be overseeing the implementation of the offer and contributing to its delivery. This is an ideal opportunity to shape a higher-level skill offer in L&M, raise aspirations and develop a high quality and competitive offer.  The successful applicant will work within our outstanding Professional Education, Training and Development team.  You will have a higher-level qualification in leadership and management, a teaching qualification, experience in a relevant role and ideally have some experience of project management. If you are enthusiastic about developing the leaders and managers of the future,we want to hear from you.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.   

Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
