Lead for the Highly Able Students, Hertfordshire
Closing date:

Start date: January/Easter 2020
Contract type: Full Time
Contract term: Permanent
Suitable for NQTs: No
We are seeking to appoint a Lead for the Highly Able Students at St Mary’s.
The post attracts a TLR2b in addition to the MPS salary, or an equivalent on the Leadership Scale for someone of the right experience. We are intending the appointment to be in conjunction with a full time English or Math's teaching post.
A recruitment payment will be made to appointed teachers who apply direct to the school (i.e. not through an agency/third party).
Staff well being is a core priority for all aspects of the school’s work and substantial investment in support staff enables teaching colleagues to focus on their work in the classroom. The governors provide staff with increased non contact time and high quality resources, (eg laptops, digital systems and professional development), to support effective pedagogy and career progression.
Interested applicants are welcome to visit the school or to request an informal conversation with the Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher with responsibility for teaching and learning. Please contact recruit@st-maryshigh.herts.sch.uk to organise an appointment.
Please note that safeguarding students of the School is a priority. All appointments to posts in the School are made through stringent adherence to the requirements of ‘Keeping Children safe in Education’. As there is a high degree of contact with children an enhanced disclosure will be sought for these posts through the Criminal Records Bureau as part of pre-employment checks.
