Become the Lead Learning Mentor for Weston College and play a key role in supporting our learners to progress with the wider skills they need for learning, life and work. Based within our LibraryPlus facilities, you will be part of a cross-college team who design, plan and deliver a timetabled programme for groups of learners to develop academic, employability and digital skills.
Responsible for a team of Learning Mentors, each with a timetable of sessions, you will ensure our skills development programmes are effectively co-designed with curriculum. You will lead the Learning Mentors in high quality lesson planning, attendance monitoring and building positive relationships with course tutors.
Weston College learners benefit from a LibraryPlus centre at each campus, offering learners a range of academic support, resources, technology and wider skills development. The Learning Mentor team will also work with learners on a one-to-one basis to help individuals progress on their journey to higher levels of study or into employment.
The successful candidate will be an effective people and relationship manager who thrives within a busy, vibrant and learner-focussed environment.
