Lead Learning Support Assistant - Cognition & Learning
Required for December 2019/January 2020
24 hours per week, term time only
Salary Scale H5 (actual salary £11,429 for full academic year)
We are looking to appoint a Lead LSA to work as part of a team supporting the SENDCo and Specialist Teachers in the identification, planning and review of strategies and resources for students with Cognition and Learning needs. The role involves supporting students in the classroom and delivering intervention programmes, on a one-to-one/small group basis. This would be a suitable role for someone seeking to gain more knowledge in this area. Experience or interest in working with students with a range of abilities is desirable but not essential.
Working hours 8.25am – 4.15pm Mon – Wed and there will be an opportunity to expand this role by taking on additional LSA hours.
The admissions policy prioritises children of staff in accordance with the admission arrangements.

Watford Grammar School for Boys is an academy with over 1400 students, including over 400 in the sixth form. From its origins as a charity school for 60 pupils founded by Dame Elizabeth Fuller in 1704, the boys’ school moved to its present site in 1912 and became an Academy in 2010. Located next to the centre of Watford, near Cassiobury Park, it comprises of a Grade II listed building, The Clarendon Muse, The James Theatre, a dedicated STEM Centre and extensive sports facilities.
