Job overview

Meadowbrook College, Lead Maths Teacher

TMS or UPS + SEN 1 (£2149) + TLR 2.2 (£4530)

At Meadowbrook College we provide full and part-time education and support to over 140 aged 5-16 students who are finding it difficult to access their mainstream schools. We offer our students another chance and provide a high quality, safe learning environment in which to develop positive behaviours and skills which can be used to improve their life chances. We work hard to ensure our young people achieve the best outcomes they can by creating individual educational packages which meet their needs and equip them for their next destination. Our hope for our students is that they will re-engage with learning, be successful and achieve their goals. Our aim is for every one of our students to move on to college, school, an apprenticeship or employment.

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Maths Teacher to lead the development of the subject  across the college. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a talented and committed professional with the ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike; a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to further improving outcomes for a significant group of vulnerable and challenging learners and to shape and develop Maths teaching across the College.

As Lead Maths Teacher you will be:

- A consistently good or outstanding teacher, with proven results in the field.

- Highly motivated, with a passion for Maths.

- Ready to lead with an ability to effectively develop the pedagogy and practice of others.

- A highly effective communicator.

This post will include elements of both KS3/4 Maths teaching and the professional support and development of staff teaching Maths across the College.  Key outcomes will relate to the further improvement of outcomes
