Job overview

We are seeking a Lead Practitioner who is a Science specialist to work closely within our extended leadership team in developing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning within and beyond the academy. An exceptional practitioner and leader, you will play a key role in continuing our drive towards outstanding outcomes for all students. 

You would join an existing and growing team of highly skilled Lead Practitioners who are passionate about improving teaching and learning and hence student outcomes within the academy. The Lead Practitioners are at the forefront of ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across the academy. This is because Lead Practitioners play an important role in coaching colleagues to deliver high quality teaching and learning and ensuring whole school CPD addresses strategic teaching and learning priorities.   

London Academy is an oversubscribed 4-19 mixed comprehensive in North London serving 1500 students. In 2016 the academy was in the top 14% of schools nationally for progress made by pupils at KS4.
