A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen at the Halifax Academy for a lead practitioner in the Art team. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of 6 art teachers and 4 technicians, offering a range of subjects across Art, Design, Photography and Graphics. The faculty is consistently in the top 3% nationally with 25% of students studying two art based GCSEs and 85% one art based GCSE. This is a rare opportunity to join a school committed to art education. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things creative and who can lead on developing the pedagogical approaches across the faculty. The Halifax Academy is a high performing 4-16 all-through Academy in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. It was inspected by Ofsted in September 2017 being judged as Good in all areas. Outcomes are outstanding at KS4 and places the Academy in the top 15% of all schools nationally. Early Years Provision is good.

The Academy is the founding school in Impact Education MAT and is led by Matt Perry the Headteacher.
