Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with the skills, confidence, creativity and energy to make a positive impact on the lives of our students?

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner of Computer Science, Computing & I.T. to work alongside the Head of Department and team. The role offered is permanent full-time, but part-time would also be considered for the right candidate. You will be able to assess students against learning outcomes and ensure all groups of students make progress. You will be able to ensure that all groups of students, at all key stages are appropriately challenged and supported to achieve their very best.  You will be committed to maintaining and improving our high quality provision. The ability to teach Mathematics is desirable but not essential.

St Bernard's High School is a bi-grammar girls school from Years 7-11 with a mixed Sixth Form. The school was ranked the top school in Southend, Essex, in 2019 for GCSE results. We offer our students an environment where they can excel academically, personally and spiritually. It is a warm and welcoming school where our Catholic values underpin our day to day life.

St Bernard’s High School, a popular, highly successful Catholic bi-lateral girls’ school with a thriving mixed 6th form. In addition we have been designated by the DfES a specialist college for the Arts.
