Saracens High School is a free school in Colindale, Barnet that opened in 2018. In 2022  we will welcome our fifth cohort, we will make our final preparations for our Sixth Form, and will have our first cohort of students sit their GCSE examinations. We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about English, has a proven track record of success at KS4 and KS5, and can support the development of our English team and wider across the school. 

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and reflective practitioner, excited by taking risks, and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they work with to develop their skills. 

You will be helping to create an exciting and challenging curriculum, as part of a growing team, to ensure that our pupils can attend the best Universities or successfully compete for sought-after apprenticeships. You will help to create a distinctive culture and philosophy so that from the moment someone enters the school, they will know this is where the learner is empowered to 'be the best that they can possibly be'. A place where the individual abilities of each pupil are recognised and coaching for life skills, as well as academic excellence, is at the core of all we do.

With strong ties to the wider Saracens organisation, we base all we do on the values Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility. We have a family ethos, that focuses on character development and making memories, as much as outstanding academic attainment.
