Lead Practitioner for Health and Social Care

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational lead practitioner to join the Health and Social Care department.

You must hold QTS (or equivalent) to apply for this role.

What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning.

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to teach Health and Social Care to key stage 4 to 5;
• Strong understanding of the BTEC and CTECH moderation processes
• Develop and sustain high quality teaching and learning throughout the Health and Social care curriculum;
• Demonstrate good pedagogy practice, sharing it within the Health and Social care teachers;
• Lead non specialists in the teaching of Health and Social Care
• Ensure that the quality of lesson plans, the use of assessment and homework set are of the highest quality;
• Support colleagues so that appropriate standards of behaviour are established and maintained;
• Assist colleagues to ensure that all aspects of student achievement in Health and Social Care are monitored and evaluated and this information is used to inform priorities and targets for improvement;
• Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the whole school.
