Closing date – 28/04/2017

On behalf of the five local authorities in Central South Wales, we are looking for a teacher to drive the curriculum and pedagogy forward in Mathematics.

You will work in one of our schools and will support senior leaders and teachers in ensuring that the students are well prepared for their futures. A leader from Cardiff High School will coach and mentor you, giving you the opportunity to develop leadership skills and have access to individualised professional learning.

We are looking for a mathematics teacher that is able to engage pupils by using contexts that are relevant and engaging. The new mathematics curriculum in Wales places an emphasis on developing connections within mathematics and across the curriculum. Being able to facilitate pupils’ development of ‘unpicking’ situations set out across a range of sources and identify appropriate solutions is paramount.

For further information about the position and professional learning opportunities, please email dawn.mcgowan@cscjes.org.uk or contact 01443 827573.

We are committed to safeguarding children and all appointments will require an enhanced DBS check.
